Speech
Speech therapy services include direct and indirect evaluation and treatment of language, speech sound, and even feeding delays and disorders provided by a licensed Speech Language Pathologist. An appointment can be done via telehealth, in the home, or in our outpatient clinic.
The goal of our speech therapy service is to provide treatment, strategies, and intervention to help your child communicate effectively and reach age-appropriate developmental levels for speech and feeding skills.

Physical therapy services involve evaluation and treatment through expert clinical opinion and evidence-based practice to help with delays in gross motor development provided by a licensed Physical Therapist in the clinic, in the home, or through video conference.
The goal of physical therapy is to set up your child for success in gross motor and self-care activities to be age-appropriate to interact and keep up with their peers in mobility, balance, and coordination skills.
Physical therapy provides evaluation and treatment for:
Prematurity
Asymmetrical Weakness
Gross Motor Delays
Hypotonia Disorders
Vestibular Disorders

Self-Care and Function
Occupational
The goal of occupational therapy is to help children increase their independence and quality of life by focusing on self-help and fine motor skills.
Our pediatric Occupational Therapists provide evaluation, intervention, and consultation in the following areas:

Feeding
The goal of feeding therapy is to teach children how to eat or how to eat better. A Speech-Language Pathologist or Occupational Therapist with advanced training in feeding will work with the child and their family to give them the tools, skills, and confidence to make mealtime less stressful and more enjoyable.
Some of the issues your Feeding Therapist may address include:
Difficulty with Chewing
Picky Eating
Coughing, Gagging, or Vomiting
Difficulty with Breast or Bottle Feeding
Difficulty Progressing with Different Textures or Texture Refusal
Complications due to Gastric Reflux
Transitioning from NG Tube or G-Tube Feeding to Oral Feeding

Who Can Receive Care?
Children, birth – 18. If your child is receiving Early Intervention services with Capability Health they won’t be eligible for our outpatient clinic services until your child’s third birthday.
If you are not receiving Early Intervention services with Capability Health there is no minimum age you can come to the clinic for
an evaluation.
Do I Need A Referral?
Yes, you will need a referral from your pediatrician to receive clinic services. Tell your pediatric office that you want to receive care at Capability Health.
What Insurance Is Accepted?
